The Eagle-etts

The Eagle-etts were set up in 1997 by Dawn Aston and was originally comprised of six people who had been avid Eagles fans for many years.

Over time the group developed into a popular dance team at Sheffield Eagles matches.

In 2001 Julie Goosey took over the group and oversaw its change into a cheerleading/pom dance team.

Each year the group develop there stunts and hope by next year to focus more on cheerleading than pom dance.

The Eagle-etts squad are a pom dance/ cheerleading team. The team currently consist of 16 girls ranging from 5 to 30. The team currently train at park academy for one hour on Wednesday nights.

The Eagle-etts don't just perform at Sheffield Eagles matches, they also attend community galas such as the The Goldenhar event; make a wish events, Sheffield mathron, GB ice hockey cheerleaders and many more.

The Eagle-etts are currently sponsored by Globe Holidays, however we are still looking for a sponsor to help the Eagle-etts to compete in the Rugby Cheerleading competitions and also to help with match day kits which are currently funded by the cheerleaders parents.

The Eagle-etts really would like to get a cheerleading team back up and running, we just need more members to make this possible, so If you would like the Eagle-etts to perform at one of your event please contact the Sheffield Eagles office with details of the event.

The Eagle-etts are always looking for new members to expand are team. If you would like to join the Eagle-etts team please contact Head Coach Julie Goosey at
